From 2 PM to 8:30 PM on October 15, 2022, Dare to Dance in Public Film Festival (D2D), Founded in 2015 by Choreographer/Director Sarah Elgart, will present Round 5 live and in person at The New Glorya Kaufman Performing Arts Center @ Vista Del Mar. The festival will include three program of international dance shorts and an original, live, site-specific performance by Los Angeles based dance artist Roxanne Steinberg & Oguri.  Tickets are on sale now.

This year DARE TO DANCE IN PUBLIC FILM FESTIVAL: Round 5 Program includes:

2PM — Program A: Selection of International Dance Films

4PM — Program B: Selection of Dance Films from China

5:45PM — Live Site-Specific Performance by
Roxanne Steinberg & Oguri

7PM — Program C: The Official D2D Winners & Honorably Mentioned Films

We inspire dancers & filmmakers worldwide to explore both space & place with dance & film, using the singular art of Screen Dance to share human stories. We at D2D challenge people to question what dance is and where dance should take place… which in our opinion is everywhere.” – D2D Sept. 19, 2022 press release.

The D2D creative team includes Creative Producer Zoe Rappaport. This year’s judges included Stephen Galloway – Go-To Creative Movement Director for the world’s most progressive brands, Louise Lecavalier – Award winning Dancer/Choreographer and Former Muse for La, La, La Human Steps.
