The COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause havoc around the world with thousands of people dying each and every day. Millions are out of work and those in the so-called gig profession do not always have unemployment insurance to help see them through something as drastic as this. There are many charity organizations that are helping millions of people around the world and one of those is the Actors Fund founded in 1882 to serve ALL professionals in film, theater, television, music, opera, radio, and dance. It works by providing  programs that address the entertainment community’s distinctive needs.

Janet Roston, Artistic Director and Choreographer of Mixed eMotions Theatrix worked alongside music director David O to produce an amazingly entertaining video that included 150 performers titled You Can’t Stop The Beat to help raise money for The Actors Fund. During the creation of this wonderful video, Roston and O worked closely with Hairspray composer Marc Shaiman, producer Christopher Sepulveda and casting director, Michael Donovan.

You Can’t Stop The Beat premiered on Entertainment Weekly to great acclaim and has had over 200,000 views on The Actors Fund YouTube page.

Please consider donating to The Actors Fund that aids musicians, dancers, actors as well as those professionals behind the cameras in TV and Film.
