Produced and directed by dancer/choreographer Deborah Brockus, The Los Angeles Dance Festival 2024 featuring performances, award ceremony, and master dance classes will take place Friday, April 26 through Sunday 28 at Brockus Project Studios. Tickets are on sale now.
The festival opens on Friday, April 26 at 8:00 pm with the presentation of the Lifetime Service to the Field Award to dancer, choreographer, educator, and writer Jeff Slayton. This is immediately followed with a showcase of performances by Los Angeles based MashUP Dance Company, Gretchin Ackerman, Akomi Dance, Kybele Dance Theatre, Celeste Lanuza Dance Theater, Charlotte Katherine & Dancers, and BrockusRED.
On Saturday, April 27 at 7:00 pm, BrockusRED will present BALANCE featuring the works of choreographer Deborah Brockus “with material spanning decades that explore nature and human relationship. Nine dancers take you on a vibrant emotional journey using the powerful movement of dance. Enjoy dance in an intimate setting and mingle with the dancers after the show.”
