For five days, October 6 – 10, 2021, LA Dance Festival will be presenting Race/Class/Gender – A Conversation in Dance hosted by Deborah Brockus, Artistic Director and Producer of LA Dance Festival. Produced by Brockus Project Dance as a special event of LA Dance Festival and funded in part by a grant from the City of West Hollywood, this five day event will feature discussions, films, interviews with artists, and movement classes – all focusing on observing dance through the lens of those not in power and investigating the ways that these factors intersect. Race/Class/Gender – A Conversation in Dance will strive to create solutions and to provide access so that those often unheard voices are present.
