Some of LA’s local venues have decided to follow whatever the local health officials think they should say and do about the new coronavirus.  As of today, that seems to be a lot like “stay tuned”.  Others have taken a more direct approach to helping keep audiences healthy, asking people to stay home if they or someone they live with is not feeling well.

For example, the Pasadena Playhouse has this message on their “visit” page: “Due to recent public health concerns, we are temporarily changing our ticket policies. If you currently have tickets to a production at the Playhouse and are under the weather, please contact Patron Services to exchange your tickets for another performance free of charge. If you are unable to attend on a different date, we will provide a full refund for your tickets.

We all would like to see Los Angeles dance audiences remain as healthy as possible, and we do not want to endorse any unreasonable fears.  However, if you do not feel well, and especially if you think you might have the new coronavirus, please consider staying home and contact the venue for any show you planned on attending to see if you can make alternate arrangements or obtain a refund.

The CDC has lots of valuable information for the public regarding coronavirus (aka COVID-19) HERE.  They also have a fact sheet for what to do if you are sick with the coronavirus HERE.

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and #busy-seeing-dance-in-LA life!
