Dance and music artist Géraldine Selva, also known as Elite Parker, will be presenting three commercial dance workshops at LA Salsa & Bachata Dance Academy in Santa Monica on Saturday, October 24, 2026, Sunday, October 25, and Wednesday, October 28, 2026. The areas of styles will include dance for Santa Monica Movies & Television, L.A. Hip Hop & West Coast, and L.A. Dance Mix. See full schedule below.
Based in Île-de-France, France, Géraldine Selva is a French multidisciplinary artist whose career spans dance, choreography, music, DJing, composition, and modeling. She began performing as a Jungle and Drum & Bass MC, improvising live alongside other DJs. Selva met several established American Hip-Hop artists, including Kinetic 9 (Beretta 9), a member of Killarmy, affiliated with the Wu-Tang Clan, and DJ Lord Jazz of Lords of the Underground, along with numerous other recognized American rappers.

In addition to her musical talents, Selvar trained extensively in dance and has taught modern Jazz, Street Jazz, Hip-Hope, and Dancehall throughout France for many years. She founded Elite Parker Dance in 2026 presenting annual dance galas, artistic events, and audiovisual projects.
Hoping to share her own unique style of dance with others, Selva is now expanding her artistic reach toward the U.S. beginning with workshops in Santa Monica and New York. Her workshops are participatory during which she teaches and guides dancers through her original choreographic works.
“I have always developed my own choreographic work rather than reproducing existing routines. My choreography is inspired by the music itself, its rhythm, structure, energy and cultural influences,” Selva wrote.

Each workshop is unique and contains its own artistic theory. Selva writes that her workshops begin with a movement warm-up and exercises focusing on coordination and musicality. Selva then teaches her choreography “progressively , step by step allowing everyone to understand the movements and develop their own expression.”
No previous professional dance training is required.
The workshops are open to teenagers and adults, principally at beginner to intermediate level and taught to meet the participants’ abilities. Selva directs her classes in such a way as both newcomers and dancers with some experience will excel during each workshop.
