The Théâtre Raymond Kabbaz is an elegant 220-seat theatre that presents theater, music, dance, screenings, and youth audience programs. Opening its doors in the year 2000, the Théâtre Raymond Kabbaz was named after President and Founder of Le Lycée Français de Los Angeles, Raymond Kabbaz, himself an avid supporter of the arts. The school was founded in 1964 by Esther and Raymond Kabbaz.
Since former Artistic Director Pierre Leloup began promoting more dance at the theatre the number of performances has grown threefold. This spring’s dance lineup will include the 26th season of the world-renowned Los Angeles–based Dance Camera West Festival and three cutting edge contemporary works from Québec (bang, bang by Manuel Roque), Italy ( R.OSA by Silvia Gribaudi), and Los Angeles (BODYTRAFFIC). It is a lineup “that brings together international perspectives and powerful choreographic voices, celebrating the richness and diversity of dance today.
